Sweet Dreams, the latest publication by London-based photography trio Tripod City, delves into the heart and soul of Mexico, from the bustling cities of Mexico City and Guadalajara to the dusty streets of Oaxaca and Guanajuato.
The book collates over 100 photographs that explore themes of love, life and death, inspired by cultural traditions such as Day of the Dead, brought to life through unexpected modern day interpretations.
Tripod City is the photographic collaboration between Charlie Kwai, Chris Lee and Paul Storrie, documenting people and places from three perspectives. Sweet Dreams is the third publication by the trio, following on from Gold Dust – published by Village in 2016 – which presented an honest, intimate and at times humorous portrait of everyday life in Ghana, and their 2015 debut photobook, Made in China.
