Handmade Nambya basket woven from ilala palm leaves that are dyed with Mwiyi tree bark and Mussizya tree leaves. Evah Mudenda and the Hwange Basket Collective draw inspiration from basket designs that date back to the 9th and 15th century, when Great Zimbabwe was a part of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe. Mudenda has been weaving baskets since 1996 and now represents over 70 artists from Hwange.
